A Brief Report of the Incident:

Wang Hongmei, a graduate student, was arrested by the Lanzhou University Police on June 7, 2000.  She was detained at the Taoshuping Detention Center. To protesting the persecution, she had been on hunger strike at the center.  Because she was pregnant, the detention center forced her to go through an abortion.  She is now detained at unit 14 in Xiguoyuan Detention Center.
