Ms. Geng Juying, female, resident of Luozhuang Hamlet, Chengbo Village, Mengzhou City, Henan Province.

In 2000, because Ms. Geng practices Falun Gong, the “610 Office” in Mengzhou City and Li Guangjun, Liang Hongfei, Liu Xizhong, Li Shaobin, and Li Peisheng from the Mengzhou City Police Station arrested her at home and took her to a detention center together with her eight-month-old baby. The infant was starved and cried all day because the mother did not have enough milk due to the poor nutrition at the detention center. When the baby wet its pants, even on cold snowy days, it was not allowed to have its diaper changed. The baby was thus tortured along with the mother.

On May 25, 2002, after Ms. Geng’s release, Li Shaobin and others jumped over the wall into the courtyard of Ms. Geng’s house and escorted her to the police station without any warrant. Ms. Geng was pregnant at the time, and in order to send her to a labor camp the authorities forced her to have an abortion. They forcibly gave her drug injections to induce an abortion. When she was in extreme pain, several policemen looked at her and laughed at her as they watched her abort. They said, “Aren’t you pretty? We just want to watch you have an abortion.” In this way she lost her baby as these policemen looked on. Afterward, she was put into a brainwashing center in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. Later, she was transferred to the Shibalihe Labor Camp for further persecution, because she refused to give up Falun Gong. She is still being detained in that labor camp.

Ms. Geng’s father, Mr. Geng Xuecai; mother, Ms. Shen Guangbai; elder sister, Ms. Geng Xiaocui; and brother, Mr. Geng Huaming, have also been detained many times because they practice Falun Gong.
