Print  E-mail

Victim:

Xie Hong, female, an employee of Sipailou Branch of Hefei Construction Bank, Hefei City, Anhui Province

Location of Detention and Torture:

Police Substation and "610 Office", Hefei City, Anhui Province

Perpetrators:

Chief of police substation and "610 Office" in Hefei City, Anhui Province

Brief Report of the Incident:

Xie Hong has been detained for many times since July 22, 1999 because she had appealed many times for Falun Gong. She was sent to a anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class in April 2001 while her baby was only four-month-old. Because she has to nurse her baby, she escaped from the class. The police substation and "610 Office" started searching for her everywhere. In the beginning of May 2001, she was caught while putting up a Falun Gong banner in Feixi, Hefei City. She was sent to the ‘anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class’ again and has been detained there for over three months. Her situation has not been known since then.
