2. Wang, Hansheng, male, (husband of Ms. Xu Xianglan), President of Shenshen Corporation. He is not a Falun Gong practitioner.

Description:
Xu Xianglan and Wang Hansheng were secretly tried on December 23 of 1999 in Wuhan City No.1 Intermediate People's Court. The couple was sentenced to 8 and 6 years in prison respectively for printing and distributing Falun Gong books, posters and photos. Xu Xianglan was charged with “using an evil religion to sabotage the implementation of laws”. Mr. Wang was charged with “setting up and using an evil religious organization to print material”. The court was unable to find evidence to support the accusations that the founder of Falun Gong shared huge profits made by the couple’s sales of Falun Gong materials. They were not allowed access to lawyers.
