Description:

In January 2000, Ms. Dong Peilan was arrested because she appealed in Beijing for Falun Gong. She was then detained in Gansu No 1. Labor Camp for one year.  On August 25, 2002, after she was released, she was again kidnapped in a local shopping store. It has been days since she was missing.  Her husband, Zhao Lanzhou, was forced to leave home for over a year and there is no information concerning his whereabouts.  Now, their three little girls were left in the house with on one to take care of them.  They are having a hard time to survive on their own.

The three children went to Tianshui Public Security Bureau for several days in a row, crying for the release of their mother.  Regardless, the police refused to give their mother freedom.  The oldest daughter, who is now 13, could not bear this tragic situation and ran away from home.  It has been days, yet nobody knows her whereabouts.  Her situation is quite worrisome.  The other two daughters, 10 and 8 years old, are having a hard time to live by themselves.
