At present, there are many female Falun Gong practitioners detained at Banqiao Labor Camp, Tianjin City. To force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief, the camp guards use all kinds of inhuman methods to torture them.

The practitioners are not allowed to talk to each other or do Falun Gong exercises. To force practitioners to renounce Falun Gong, the labor camp forced practitioner to perform heavy labor from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. in the next morning everyday. One of the torture methods they use is to hang up practitioners’ by one hand and one foot for long periods of time, only allowing one foot to touch the ground. Practitioner Ms. Mu Xiangjie was hung up this way for six days and nights, and at the same time, she was beaten . When Ms. Mu was finally taken down, the skin of her hand and foot was all torn apart, and she could not walk. To protest the cruel treatment, some practitioners started hunger strikes. The camp guards ordered the inmates to force-feed them. Practitioner Ms. Zhou Xianzhen was on hunger strike for more than six months. In order to force-feed her, the camp guards knocked all of her front teeth out. Practitioners were often deprived of sleep or confined in solitary cells.
