Print  E-mail

On May 22, 2002, Ms. Tian Li, 41, was stopped at her work place, Hailin Hotel in

Weihai City, Shandong Province, by 610 office policemen, for practicing Falun Gong. There, she was beaten by Liu Jie, head of 610 office in Weihai City, and 4 other officers who arrived with him. She was then arrested and taken to Weihai Police Station. After being again severely beaten by the policeman, she was transferred to Weihai Detention Center.

At detention center, when she shouted, “Falun Dafa is good,” she was cuffed and forced to sit in an iron chair torture device. She was then dragged into the courtyard along with the chair and was exposed under the sun until her body was all numb. Finally, she collapsed to the ground with the chair, and lost consciousness. Ms. Tian was sent to The Weihai City Hospital while still in a state of unconsciousness. The doctor in the hospital sent her home because she was paralyzed.

Currently, she continues to be paralyzed, lying in a bed at home. Her arms and legs lie in

unnatural positions.
