Han Ming Tortured and Drugged to Death at Zhongba Female Labor Camp

Ms. Han Ming, 30, was an employee of the Pingshui Machinery Factory in Pingba County, Guizhou Province. She was illegally detained twice for persisting in Falun Gong practice. On February 28, 2001 she was arrested for the third time, fired from her job, and illegally sentenced to two years at the Zhongba Female Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou Province. One day, guard Gu Xinying severely beat her, then, eight guards tied her up and forcibly injected her with four doses of unknown drugs. From then on, Ms. Han’s muscles atrophied and her lower limbs were virtually paralyzed. She had difficulty breathing, and her mind was not clear. Her body became extremely weak, and soon she was on the verge of death. The police released Ms. Han on September 3, 2002. At home her symptoms continued to worsen, and it became even more difficult for her to breathe. Her lower limbs became completely paralyzed, and she was bedridden. After six months of suffering, Ms. Han died on March 20, 2003. |
