Ms. Hu Yuehui, female, age 44, from Yueyang City, Hunan Province was sentenced to two years of forced labor at the Baimalong Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City at the end of 2000.

Because Ms. Hu Yuehui refused to renounce her belief in Falun Gong, she was tortured in the labor camp. The guards shocked her body, including her breasts and private parts, with electric batons. One time, they tortured her for a whole day until no intact skin could be found on her body.  Blood spots and burn marks were all over her body.  Her legs, mouth, face and eyes were swollen and covered with black and blue marks

Ms. Hu was on a hunger strike for 18 months to protest the persecution.  During this time, the guards force-fed her and would intentionally leave the feeding tube in her stomach for several days at a time.   When she pulled the tube out, the tube would be covered with blood.

The labor camp didn't release her until she was on the verge of death. Ms. Hu died shortly after she returned home.
