Description:

From August 2000 to February 2002, Mr. Zhang Jiuhai was detained in Tuanhe Labor Camp. He was severely tortured during the detention because he refused to renounce Falun Gong. In April 2002, he was arrested again and shocked with electric batons at the Haidian District Police Bureau. He was not released until he had been tortured nearly  to death. Since then Mr. Zhang had to leave his home to avoid more persecution. The local police ransacked his home six times and detained his father twice. On August 6, 2002, Mr. Zhang was kidnapped again and is being detained in a brainwashing class in Pinggu County.
