A Brief Report of the Incident:
At 8:30 a.m. on March 6, 2002, several policemen took Ms. Wang Aihua away when she was working, just because she practices Falun Gong. She was detained at Lianglu Police Station without any legal arrest warrant. Police officers Li Yuan and Li Maohai threatened and kicked her. Her right arm was severely twisted by another policeman. She could hardly lift her arm. In the afternoon, Ms. Wang was sent to Yubei Detention Center. In the detention center, female police officer Zhang Yuanli ordered 6 or 7 people to shackle Ms. Wang’s legs and cuff her arms behind her back. Ms. Zhang grabbed Ms. Wang’s hair and threw her head onto the ground; punched Ms. Wang’s right chest with her fist and crushed Wang’s head and neck relentlessly, causing severe pain in Wang’s neck and ribs. Much of her hair was torn out and her whole body was swollen. Around 10 a.m. on March 7, 2002, she was strapped into a torture chair, legs shackled and wrists sandwiched between one-inch thick wooden boards. Police ransacked Ms. Wang’s house and confiscated 21,000 Yuan. They also took the title certificate for the house, 2 land title certificates, a computer, printer and other valuable personal belongings. |
