Print  E-mail

Victim:

Liang Suxian, female, resident of Leiyang City, Hunan Province

Location:

The Leiyang City Police Station, Leiyang City, Hunan Province

Perpetrator:

The chief of the Leiyang City Police Station, Leiyang City, Hunan Province

Description:

In late December 2000, Ms. Liang Suxian was lured to the Leiyang City Police Station for questioning and was then detained. During her detention, Ms. Liang was found to be two months pregnant. But the police still jailed her for eighty-one days because she had gone to Beijing to appeal in April 2000. They also forced her to sign a document declaring that she would give up the practice of Falun Gong before they would release her.
