Description:

On December 10, 1999, Ms. Hao Airong went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop persecuting Falun Gong and later was escorted to Shuangyashan. She was detained in the City Detention Center for forty-two days. She also suffered from the beatings and kickings of policeman Wang Zhongguo and others. In mid May of 2000, she and her husband were together detained at the Dongfeng District Police Station for eighteen days. On June 22, 2000, policeman Wang Xuchun arrested Ms. Hao from her home. She was then sent to a detention center and detained for thirty-three days by Officer Wang Zhenchun. On July 25, 2000, Ms. Hao was sentenced one-year forced labor and sent to the Jiamusi City Labor Camp. Guards tortured Ms. Hao, resulting in chronic severe pain in her legs. Later on, her thighbone developed problems and her legs could not function any more. Even then, the labor camp still wouldn’t release her. Later her physical condition worsened, and she could not even take care of herself.
