Ms. Li Shuqin, female, 54, from Changchun City was arrested by police when she paid a visit to Mr. Zhang Hongyou, 78, another Falun Dafa practitioner.  They were both taken to the Changiiu Street Police Station in Changchun City, Jilian Province on March 20, 2003.  Mr. Zhang was released due to his age, but he died shortly after his release due to constant harassment.

Ms. Li was taken to Chanqchun’s No. 3 Detention Center where she suffered brutal torture. Whenever, Ms. Li was interrogated she was tortured until she was on the verge of dying.  Her hands and feet were cuffed together for long periods of time. When she went on a hunger strike to protest the brutal treatment, guards savagely force-fed her raw corn meal, hot pepper powder and mustard powder mixed with water.  Her wounds were left untreated.  Finally, the torture was so severe that it caused her to death.
