Ms. Guo Yaling was a 49-year-old resident of "Group Two" on Xinyuan Street, Kouqin Town, Yongji County, Jilin City, Jilin Province. Because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, Ms. Guo was illegally sentenced to do forced labor and jailed at the Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province. Later, she was released from the labor camp. At the end of 2002, she went back to Kouqian Town. One night when she was passing out Falun Gong materials, she was discovered and arrested. She was then sent to the Kouqian Detention Center. Later she was sentenced to two years of forced labor and sent back to Heizuizi Labor Camp. Around May 26, 2003, her family learned that she had been tortured to death by the police from the Second Brigade of Heizuizi Labor Camp. Her body was cremated in Changchun City.
