Mr. Sun Jianhua, male, 34, resident of Shulan City, Jinlin Province. Mr. Su has been detained because he had appealed for Falun Gong. In the middle of March, 2002, police in Shulan City surrounded Mr. Sun for seven days and nights at his home. During which time he had no food, no water and no sleep. It was very cold during that time, and he was wearing very thin clothes. After the police withdrew, Mr. Sun almost collapsed. At this point, he met another  practitioner who was able to arrange for some food and rest for Mr. Sun. Despite these efforts, Mr. Sun passed away on March 23, 2002.
