Description:
On February 9, 2002, Mr. Zhang Chuansheng, along with Yan'an with his wife and 6-year-old daughter, went his hometown to visit his relatives. The next day, on the eve of the Chinese New Year, the personnel from the Chengdu City Simaqiao Police Station and a Chengdu University Administrator arrested him, and detained him in the Chengdu City Detention Center. Only four days later, on February 15, 2002, at 11 p.m., Mr. Zhang's family was notified that Mr. Zhang died at 9 a.m. on February 15, due to a heart attack. He never had a heart attack before. His body was too frightening to observe. His face was swollen, and was a greenish, purple and black color. There were many bloodstains on his face and mouth. On his neck there was a deep purple-green mark that was the width of two fingers. The police threatened Mr. Zhang's family members: "The whole family will be in danger if any one of you dares to tell the cause of Mr. Zhang 's death!"
