Mr. Liu Jian, male, 33, a resident of Jinan City, Shandong Province. On March 6, 2001, Mr. Liu was kidnapped and detained in the anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class of Tianqiao Section. Because he refused to denounce Falun Gong, in March 2001, Mr. Liu was illegally sentenced to forced labor "re-education" and transferred to the Liuchangshan Labor camp at Shandong Province. While in the brainwashing class, Mr. Liu staged a hunger strike to protest his illegal arrest. While in the labor camp, he continued the hunger strike.  As a results, Mr. Liu was locked up separately and guarded by criminals. He suffered unimaginable torture both mentally and physically. On December 28, 2001, Mr. Liu fell to his death after being pushed out of a third floor restroom window. Liu, the director of the labor camp, secretly planned this murder and Wang, chief of Division Two, arranged for people to commit this crime. After the murder took place, Wang was transferred to another work unit. After Mr. Liu’s death, the labor camp tried hard to prevent the information from leaking to the outside.
