Description:

On September 26, 2001, Ms. Chen Biyu was arrested and taken from her home by local police of Fuzhou City for her refusal to give up her practice of Falun Gong. While in detention, she was subjected to various types of torture. Although Ms. Chen was rational and cognizant, she was later sent to a mental hospital where she was injected with harmful drugs designed for mental patients. At the end of October 2001, Ms. Chen passed away.
