In February 2000, the Yushu city police arrested Mr. Wang Xianyou for participating in a Falun Gong group practice. He was sent to Weizigou Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province and on July 12, 2000 was transferred to Fenjin Labor Camp. At that time, he was perfectly healthy. While being forced to perform intensive manual work at the labor camp, he was hit with a heavy object and severely injured. He could no longer move around and had to lie in bed all day without medical treatment. In early January 2001, Mr. Wang was dragged off to be force-fed after five days of hunger strike against the illegal detention and requesting to be released. In January 2001, his family suddenly received the notice that he had died.
