Victim:

Mr. Bai Heguo, 45 years of age, lived in Xiguangshan Village, Liutiao Town in Dengta City, Liaoning Province.

Mr. Bai Heguo was kidnapped on June 9, 2002 by police from Tongerpu District Police Department for practicing Falun Gong. He was then sentenced to 11 years in prison and was held in Liaoning Province Huazi Prison. As Mr. Bai Heguo endured various forms of torture in the past several years he remained firm in his faith.

Without notifying his family, the Huazi Prison Administration secretly transferred Mr. Bai to the Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City at the end of December 2007. On January 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m., the prison administration notified Mr. Bai’s family that he had died.

His family reports that his body was covered with bruises, and there was a bump on his head. He had clearly endured horrendous torture. Authorities hurriedly cremated the body. His family carried his ashes home on the morning of January 9, 2008.

Later it was disclosed that not only was there a bump on Mr. Bai's head, but there was also a cut on his tongue which protruded outside his mouth. His leg was broken, and his testes had been crushed. He was emaciated. It appears that Mr. Bai Heguang had been beaten to death.

Nanguanling Prison agents fabricated "proof" that Mr. Bai had committed suicide. Mr. Bai Heguo had been jailed in Huazi Prison for several years. On December 19, 2007, he was transferred to Nanguanling Prison. Just two weeks later, on January 5, 2008, prison authorities claimed that he had committed suicide.
