A brief report of the incident:
Liu Yucai was a private doctor in North Mayi Village in Panshi City. On October 1, 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. He was sent to the Beijing Chaoyang Detention Center and beaten to death. His family was informed on October 5 that he died of a sudden heart attack, but severe injuries were found on both sides of his chest and around his neck. His body was cremated on October 6, 2000.
