A brief report of the incident:
In the middle of May 2000, Lin Limei went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Police detained her at the Qitaihe City's Liaison Office in Beijing.
The staff in the Qitaihe City's Liaison Office notified the Police Department of the Forestry Bureau of Bolie County to send somebody to Beijing to bring Lin Limei back. By the time the staff from the Police Department of the Forestry Bureau of Bolie County got to the Liaison Office, Lin Limei was already dead. They informed Lin's family that Lin had died by jumping out of the building. However, Lin Limei died with her hands hand-cuffed behind her back. Her body was facing up and impaled on top of an iron fence. It is suspected that she was murdered.
