As a Falun Dafa practitioner who has practiced for four years, I have experienced benefits to both my body and mind. When the founder of Falun Dafa and the practice of Falun Dafa, were being slandered and framed after the persecution began, I went to Beijing to peacefully appeal many times. In the middle of December 2000, I went to Tiananmen Square and after being asked why I was there by a policeman I shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is righteous" "Return the founders good reputation" and so on.

Before I could finish, a policeman turned my face to the sky and held me by my hair while several other policeman kicked my face, including my left eye and other places. I did not know how many times I was hit before I went down to the ground. I was forced into a van were I was hit in the eyes again. I was sent to Tianjin City. After being detained there for some time, the police decided to bring me back to the Beijing. On the way back to Beijing, one policeman, without any provocation, used his fist to beat my left eye twice. My left eye became very black and blue and the eyesight was blurred.

I was sent back to my hometown and illegally sentenced to labor reeducation. I could not see anything out of my left eye, and it was diagnosed in the hospital as traumatic retina separation and conjunctivitis. It was too late to have surgery to repair it. My left eye is completely blind. I have been released on bail for medical treatment at home. My work place has stopped paying my salary because I was sent to labor reeducation.

I practice Falun Dafa to become a good person. When encountering unfair treatment, I appeal according to lawful procedure. This is the most basic right of a citizen, but for this, I was left with a blind eye.
