Ms. Wang Ying, in her 30s, lives in Changchun Street, Chuanying District, Jilin City, Jilin Province.
On the evening of May 17, 2005, at around 6:20 p.m., the Chuanying District "610 Office" sent three policemen from the Changchun Street Station and had Neighborhood Administrators Jiang and He break into Ms. Wang's home and arrested her. They sent Ms. Wang to a brainwashing session held in Chunguang Hostel. Due to Ms. Wang's refusal to cooperate with the arrest, three policemen dragged her into the vehicle and stomped on her lower arms, belly, calves, and feet. Her whole left hand and lower arm became numb and was covered with bruises and her right foot swelled up alarmingly. She was menstruating at the time, and the attack caused her to have blood in her urine days later, stomachaches and many bruises on her body.
In the brainwashing session, Ms. Wang started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On the eleventh day of her hunger strike, the "610 Office" forced her to be injected with unknown drugs twice in one day, alleging they were injecting her with glucose. The drugs caused her whole body to shiver and she could not think straight. Shortly after the injection, they used acupuncture needles to poke her body all over, creating a terrifying scene while claiming to help her by "grabbing the spirit possession."
