Brief description:

On June 12, 2005, when my wife, Ms. Wang Xiuying, was at work at Xi'an Jiaotong University, government officials and police officers from the Xi’an City 610 Office, the Beilin Branch of the Xi’an City Police Department and the Taiyilu Police Station secretly arrested her by force. Her colleagues told me that the police carried her away in a police car. They said that she was being subjected to brainwashing and mental torture at the Chang’an County Worker's Convalescent Center of Xi'an City.

After my wife’s arrest, I received harassing phone calls from the police at Taiyilu Police Station and the police from the Beilin Police Station. Members of the National Security Division and the Taiyilu Police Station came and knocked on my door intending to search my home. I stopped them with strong words and asked, "Why did you arrest my wife?" They answered, "Because she practices Falun Gong." I then questioned them loudly, "What's wrong with practicing Falun Gong? Falun Gong is good for health, and what's wrong with being a good person by following the principle of ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’? Has she done anything bad? I will fight with my life against anyone who enters my home today!" Soon a crowd gathered around and the policemen felt so embarrassed that they left.

Steps taken to find Ms. Wang Xiuying:

After the police arrested my wife, I called her supervisor at work and asked, "She went to work like every other day, but now she has disappeared and can't be found. Have gangsters kidnapped her? What happened?" However her supervisor told me that he did not know what happened!
