Print  E-mail

Victim:

Mr. Lu Yuankun lived in Sanhuo, in the Pingshan District of Benxi City, Liaoning Province.  Mr. Lu has been missing since his arrest in Zhengzhou City on April 19, 2002. It is uncertain whether he is still alive.

Brief Description:

Mr. Lu Yuankun had been arrested for being a Falun Gong practitioner, and detained at the Weining Forced Labor Camp in Benxi City, along with practitioners Kang Tiewei, Zhou Zhi and Liu Quan. In October 2001, he was released after serving his term.

Lu Yuankun then established a material site in Zhengzhou to help the public to know the truth of the persecution and Falun Gong, but the center was discovered and ransacked. He was arrested, later, he was able escaped from the detention center. On April 19, 2002, he was again arrested, but there has been no word of his situation since then.

Lu Yuankun used to live in Sanhuo, in the Pingshan District but his house has since been sold. His wife, Ms. Wang Runzhi (also a practitioner), and their child were forced to become destitute and homeless, subsisting on sales of small items and working at some hourly jobs. On September 18, 2004, Ms. Wang was arrested in Benxi City, leaving their boy without parental care. The boy’s aunt, whose own child is in college, came from Heilongjiang Province to take care of him. In order to make a living and take care the boy, she started a very small business in Benxi City. Their living quarters are so tiny that the boy eats at home but usually sleeps at another practitioner’s house.

Ms. Wang has been sent to the infamous Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province.
