Pregnant Woman Tortured and Forcefully Injected with Mental Drugs during Her Pregnancy
Print  E-mail

Ms. Wang Yanying, female, 43 years of age, an employee of the Bohai Petroleum Engineering Company in the Tanggu District of Tianjin City

On September 13, 1999, Ms. Wang went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong. She was arrested and escorted back to her hometown, and then detained in the Chaojiade Detention Center in Tanggu District. During her detention, she was tortured and forced to do heavy labor despite her pregnancy. Because she refused to give up Falun Gong, she was later transferred to the Yongren Mental Hospital in Nahe County, Xiqing District, where she  was forcefully injected with drugs which caused her mental disorder.

Ms. Wang was released shortly before she was about to deliver her baby. One month later after her baby was born, her work unit fired her. Because she told people the truth about Falun Gong, she was arrested twice, and sentenced to two and half years of forced labor. Later she was transferred to the Banqiao Labor Camp in Dagang District, where she was tortured and beaten because she refused to give up Falun Gong. She was locked in a small cell, and not allowed to use the toilet. Once, 12 inmates, who where instructed by the guards, used electric batons to beat her head until she lost consciousness. Then they poured cold water on her to wake her up. Her face became deformed, black and blue. Another time, the guards tied her four limbs in four different directions on two beds, then theypulled the two beds apart,  stretching her body and causing her to have unbearable pain. When she was released, she suffered from mental disorder.

At the end of May, 2005, because Ms. Wang told the truth about Falun Gong on the internet, staff from her work unit and policemen from the Tanggu Police Station arrested her and sent her to the Chaojiade Detention Center. She is still being detained there. She is on the edge of a mental collapse due to long-term persecution.
