Ms.
Wen Fenhua, female, is a resident of Mianhu Town,
Jiexi County, Guangdong Province.
In January 2000, Ms. Wen went to Beijing to appeal to the
government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong. She was arrested and returned
to Mianhu
Town, where she was
detained in the police station. She was then sent to a detention center and
detained for two weeks.
In February 2000, she was arrested because she
went to a Falun Gong practitioner’s home. She was again detained for two
weeks.
Ms. Wen was again arrested in June 2000, this time
for practicing Falun Gong’s meditative exercises in a park. She was then
released in July 2002 after serving two years of forced labor.
Between June 2003 and May 2005, because Ms. Wen
practices Falun Gong and refused to give up her belief, she was arrested five
times.
On May 30, 2005, Ms. Wen was arrested by the vice-secretary of
the Jiexi Political Committee, Chen Jihua; the head of the first branch of the
police station, Lin Shaoxin; the Mianhu Governing Office; “610 Office” member
Guo Lewei; and a dozen or so other policemen. She was then once again sent to
the Sanshui
Brainwashing Center and subjected to forced
brainwashing.
Ms. Wen was sent home on the night of June 17, 2005. Upon arriving
home she lay down, unable to move. There were many needle marks and dark blue
scars on her hands and wrists, and many scars and wounds on her legs, some of
them bleeding. Ms. Wen had to rely completely on others to take care of her, as
she was unable to even turn herself over. Her eyes were closed, and she
responded only when somebody called her name. Judging from her state, it looked
as if she had been injected with some toxic drugs.
