Chen Linfa Died Due to Long-Term Stress and Fear
Print  E-mail

Chen Linfa, male, 67, was a retired official from the Taxinan Petroleum Supply Base Company in Xinjiang Autonomous Region. Mr. Chen’s wife is also a Falun Gong practitioner. She had been arrested twice for appealing for Falun Gong. In July 2001, his wife was sentenced to three-and-half years in prison. The officers from the Taxinan Petroleum Supply Base Company Police Department later harassed Mr. Chen and ransacked his home. They took his Falun Gong books and other related materials. The local police also threatened and interrogated him. Due to the long-term stress and fear, Mr. Chen collapsed on January 10, 2002, and died soon afterwards. His wife didn't learn of his death until after her release from detention in October 2003.
