Zha Yuanqing, female, in her 60s, lived in the Qiaokou District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. In the summer of 2002, Ms. Zha was forced to attend a brainwashing class because she was a Falun Gong practitioner. Under the hot weather of 104^oF, she was locked in a mosquito-filled room with no air circulation. In 2004, the officials from the 610 Office sent her to the Etouwan Brainwashing Class, where she was verbally and physically abused on a daily basis. The officials deprived her of sleep and forced her to attend brainwashing sessions. Ms. Zha struggled with physical and psychological pressure, and passed away on January 16, 2005.
