4.      Ren Changjun, policeman of the criminal squad of the Heijinhe Township Police Station, Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province

5.      Lin Fengqiu, Chief of the criminal squad of the Heijinhe Township Police Station, Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province

Description:

On the night of January 14, 2001, eight people from the local police station and the “610 Office” broke into Ms. Sui Cun’s home and took her to the police station by force. At the police station, Ms. Sui was beaten by Zhou Tiegang and Deng Jian. Later she was sent to the criminal squad for further beating, to force her to pledge to give up Falun Gong practice. Policeman Ren Changjun used an electric baton to shock her head and body many times. Lin Fengqiu, Chief of the squad, became so exhausted from beating her that he hired two strong laborers to torture Ms. Sui. The police threatened her that they would beat up her two sons and send her whole family to jail. Later they detained her elder son for 24 hours. They slapped the fifteen-year-old boy in the face over thirty times. The boy’s face was swollen and deformed with bruises. Ms. Sui was held without legal cause at the criminal squad for 5 days and 4 nights. Every night policemen beat and tortured her. At the end of each beating, they handcuffed her to the heating pipes until she couldn’t stand it any longer. She was denied sleep during this time and was completely worn out. The police also handcuffed her to the handle of the door so that she had to open the door for every one going through. They even spat on her face. In April 2001 Ms. Sui was sentenced to one-year forced labor and sent to the Jiamusi Detention Center.
