Mr. Sun Guo, male, 41, was the former Department Head of the Zhaoyuan Electricity Bureau in Shandong Province.

Mr. Wang Yanqing, male, 35, from the Dazhuanshan Village, Daqinjia Town, Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province.

Mr. Wang Xueyong, male, 39, is a farmer from Qigezhuang Village, Daqinjia Town, Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province.

On September 5, 2002, while distributing Falun Gong flyers, these practitioners were brutally beaten, tortured and took away by policemen from the Biguo Town Police Station in Zhaoyuan City. Later, they were sent to the Zhaoyuan City Detention Center and tortured there for 6 months. On March 25, 2003, Mr. Sun was secretly sentenced to 8 years in jail; Mr. Wang Xueqing and Mr. Wang Xueyong were sentenced to 7 years each. The practitioners were sent to the Jinan No. 1 Prison in Shandong Province.

These practitioners’ families were not informed about their sentences. Mr. Sun’s wife, practitioner Teng Yinfen, and Mr. Wang Yanqing’s wife, practitioner Fu Yingxia, have been wandering around for more than one year to avoid being arrested. Mr. Wang Xueyong’s sister, practitioner Wang Chunying, was also sentenced to 2 years of forced labor. She was detained in the Wangcun Labor Camp, Zibo City, Shandong Province.
