Victims:

Twenty-three Falun Gong Practitioners were detained in the mental hospital. Among them were:

1.      Zhao Hongwen, employee of the Kunlun China Factory, Zibo city, Shandong province

2.      Sun Rongjun, employee of the Kunlun China Factory, Zibo city, Shandong province

3.      Sun Ruxiu, employee of the Maternal and Child Hygiene Hospital, Zibo city, Shandong province

4.      Sun Hongyan, a resident of Hangout Town, Zibo city, Shandong province

5.      Zhang Guihua and six other people from Taihe Village, Zibo city, Shandong province

6.      Fang Hongyou and his wife, from Erzhuang Village, Zibo city, Shandong province

7.      Sun Airong and another person, from Zichen Town, Zibo city, Shandong province

8.      Wang Xin and two other people, from Zhaili Town, Zibo city, Shandong province

9.      Wang Xiufeng, a resident of Hongshang Town, Zibo city, Shandong province

10.  Wang Xiurong, a resident of Hongshang Town, Zibo city, Shandong province

11.  Wang Yulin, a resident of Hongshang Town, Zibo city, Shandong province

12.  Zhuang Peixu, an employee of the Mine Management Bureau, Zibo city, Shandong province

13.  Zhu Fengzhen, over 70 years old, resident of Chennan Town, Zibo city, Shandong province

A Brief Report of the Incident:

The above Falun Gong practitioners were incarcerated in the mental hospital at Zibo city, Shandong province, because they practiced Falun Gong. In the hospital, these practitioners were all given injections of debilitating drugs, forced to take drugs orally, and shocked with electric batons. So far there are twenty-three practitioners who have experienced inhumane treatment there. Moreover, the drugs they were injected with are all used for experiments on animals. Some practitioners were disabled by the time they left the hospital, including Zhuang Peixu and Zhao Hongwen. In addition, these victims were forced to pay all of the expenses of their incarceration. Sometimes the costs were as high as 4000-5000 Yuan (roughly 10 months' income for an average worker in China).
