A Brief Report of the Incident:

On May 26, 2000, police arrested Ms. Liu Hongwei because she practiced the Falun Gong exercises in Wangcheng War Memorial Park. She was held in the Wangcheng local police station and later moved secretly to the city's mental hospital. She suffered inhuman tortures there. She was forced to receive daily injections and take drugs that were only meant for the mentally ill. She became extremely weak, lethargic, and insensitive to stimuli.
