A Brief Report of the Incident:

In 2000, after they were released from the detention center, Mr. Sun Weidong, Mr. Li Shanbin, and Mr. Zhang Ping, were sent to the Linyi Mental Hospital because they refused to renounce Falun Gong. Government authorities ordered that they receive injections of drugs and electric shock treatments. If they didn't cooperate, they would be shocked until they became unconscious and could then be drugged. All of them were perfectly normal people, exemplary employees at their companies, and never had any symptoms of mental illness.
