Dong Yuhua, female, 25 years old, from Heilongjiang province and lives in Baiyun District, Guangzhou city, Guangdong province

A Brief Report of the Incident:

 

On July 22, 1999, Ms. Dong Yuhua went to Beijing to appeal against the ban on Falun Gong and was arrested and detained there. She was then escorted back to Guangzhou city and was delivered to the Fangcun Mental Hospital in Guangzhou city. Though she was healthy, she was treated as a psychiatric patient and suffered all kinds of inhuman torture in the hospital such as forced injections, and isolation. On October 1, 1999, she was released from the Fangcun Mental Hospital.
