A Brief Report of Incident:

On October 3, 1999, Ding Jianhua was sent to the Nanjing Psychiatric Hospital to receive forced treatments because she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. The abusive “treatments” have been detrimental to her health. They have slowed her reactions and blurred her eyesight. Currently, she is being detained in the 27th Bed of Sixth District in Nanjing Psychiatric Hospital. Three other Falun Gong practitioners are also being detained and mistreated there.
